STRONG
MANAGER OF GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS
Sarah
Strong has been with Cook Hill Girard Associates since
late 2000, working her way up from session-only
legislative assistant to her current position of
Manager of Government Affairs.. Upon graduating from
Duke University with a bachelor's degree in Political
Science and History, Strong returned to her home state
of Minnesota and joined the Cook Hill Girard team. She
has since gained a working knowledge of a variety of
business and governmental issues through advocating for
Cook Hill Girard's diverse client base.
Strong has significant experience crafting legislative strategies and legislation, especially in the areas of commerce and information privacy. She is a gifted writer and is regularly given the opportunity to stretch her journalistic legs as the editor/author of Cook Hill Girard's client newsletter. As Cook Hill Girard's resident reporter, Strong is often found running from one Capitol press conference to another and hunting down inside information.
A proven leader both inside the Capitol and out, Strong serves on the Minnesota Government Relations Council Board of Directors, bringing a fresh voice to the organization. She also has the honor of serving on the Board of Directors for the Sexual Violence Center, a Twin Cities' crisis assistance and advocacy organization for victims of sexual violence.
